We encourage all centers or organizations hosting Bodhi Kids programs to keep them very affordable (if not entirely free) as a service to the sangha and community at large. How does this benefit centers that struggle to make ends meet? It gets the word out about the center as a resource to the community. Centers thereby may receive new members and/or donations that they wouldn’t have otherwise. But most importantly, it gives teachers and support staff the opportunity to put their meditation in action! Beyond this, we encourage centers to seek out family-appropriate activities that join with opportunities in the community to help others in need. Bodhi Kids is applying for grants to provide seed funding to assist Buddhist centers in establishing family programming.
