A great Summer time opportunity for teens and tweens offered by our friends at Zen Mountain Monastery!
Teens/Tweens Wilderness Retreat: Hearing the Teachings of the Insentient
Zen Mountain Monastery Teen/Tweens program
Week of July 7th, 2014 (Length to be determined)
Konrad Ryushin Marchaj Sensei, Abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery (with Thayer Kyusan Case and other staff) is planning to lead a wilderness camping/canoe trip (length to be determined) either on site at Zen Mountain Monastery or in the Adirondacks. The trip would include daily meditation, liturgy, art and survival skills – a unique way to enter the wilderness, study our relationship to the earth, and practice together.
We are still organizing the format – possibly just the kids, maybe with parents as well. We would like to know who is interested and could possibly commit to something like this. If there is enough interest we can move forward with plans, book camping sites, etc.
Please let us know soon if you are interested and we can plan from there!
If you are interested or have any questions or would please contact Thayer Kyusan Case at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Zen Teens program has been running for the last 12 years, every month at ZMM. Thayer Kyusan Case, a senior lay student, leads the program.
